“One Man’s Trash, Is Another Man’s Treasure”

I saw this on Facebook earlier and just tweeted about it…but there wasn’t enough room on twitter for me to express how much I despise how women use this when referring to themselves when they let go of a situation or someone does them wrong who they are in love with. 

The reason being is that, why would you refer to yourself as someone’s trash? I do not know about you all but I will never have been anyone’s trash and never will be. If some one does you wrong and they miss out on you, would that not make them “trash”? They are the one’s who did whatever they did for you to feel like you had to be done right? They broke you heart, betrayed your trust, broke the promises, etc.

So why when referring to the ending of your relationship, booship, sexual relationship say “Girl, it’s whatever though cause you know…One man’s trash, is another man’s treasure” ?? You do realize that you are calling yourself trash…something he threw away, got rid of, was no longer fond of…that’s what trash is! Something that you throw away with no remorse and never want to see again because it has no value anymore. If you got rid of him he’s the Trash!

Ladies PLEASE stop using this quote when referring to the ending of the predicament you placed your heart in, because you are not trash! This goes for guys also! Do away with this quote for cheering your friends up or even your self! Just say it’s their lost and your gain of knowledge :-)
